Newport Harbour, Rhode Island, USA (via Andy Peers)

going up to newport for a few days to stay with family friends early tomorrow morning. the only time i’ve seen it is during the newport folk festival in the summer, so i hope there’s a lot of christmas spirit in the air while i’m there.

jim really is the saviour of folk music at the moment and is so highly underrated it’s ridiculous. low culture is an amazing album & i’m glad this cut from the record has gotten so much attention. this performance at the bbc2 folk awards is incredible as well ( & i just realized jim causley is part of the chorus in the back ♥ ) i can’t wait to see what he comes up with in the future.
